How about moving on in the presentation of the contents of the re-edition of the complete discography of the Czech death metal icon Tortharry, "25 let mezi nebem a peklem",?

The next piece in line is the seventh studio album "Beneath", which marks the beginning of the cooperation with MetalGate Records. Some cooperation indeed. Not only did Tortharry join our label, but we also fused our respective festival projects, those being MetalGate OpenAir and Czech Death Fest, into a joint venture MetalGate Czech Death Fest.

We released "Beneath" in 2010 on CD (and it was the fourth title released by our nascent label), but later that year, it also came out on vinyl in cooperation with Monster Nation.

Beside a new label, there was also a new studio. To move sound-wise forward, Tortharry decided to try the renowned Šopa Studio of Staňa Valášek, located in the village of Lipov, in the local gym. One of the first things the band inquired about was whether the studio has a fridge, to which Staňa replied that no one before asked about such a thing. He then managed to get one, whereby Tortharry could move in (if still functional, the fridge is still there).

The day Tortharry arrived at Šopa, there was a wedding celebration in the gym, and so when the band went to scout the place at night, since they were accommodated there as well, they managed to find the leftovers of the wedding catering, which lead to an improvised nightly feast. The next day, the wedding guests came looking for the band, but instead of making problems, they offered them even more leftovers. So the band had plenty of food for the next few days :-)

The tracklist of "Beneath" contains nine songs, and as usual, you can listen to one as a sample, and the one in question is the eponymous title track:

Enjoy and more next time!
