Dear friends, here comes the sixth installment of our coverage regarding the upcoming Czech edition of the pilgrimage into the black metal netherworld by the English writer and journalist Dayal Patterson. As usual, our coverage of literary titles always includes the outlook on the piece from the side of its author, and this time will be no different.

Thus, welcome to the interview with Dayal Patterson, or rather the first installment thereof in a three-part series (as our talks were quite extensive), in which we discussed what brought Dayal to black metal in the first place, how he got to writing for the prestigious Terrorizer and Metal Hammer magazines, while also covering his own Crypt fanzine, as well as for example how he perceives the possible discrepancy between the underground ethos of black metal and its presence in the more mainstream expanses.

Enjoy and more next time!
